무색계 (無色界) 사천 (四天)의 제 일천 (一天). 물질인 이 육신을 떠나 가없는 허공의 자제 (自在)함을 기뻐하며, 공 (空)의 가없는 이치를 알고 수행하여 태어나는 곳으로 공무변천 (空無邊天)이라고도 말함
