충청남도 공주군 계룡산에 있는 절. 420년 아도화상 (阿道和尙)에 의해 창건. 그 후 문무왕 (文武王) 19년 (679) 의상대사 (義湘大師)가 당우 (堂宇) 1,000여 칸을 더 짓고, 화엄도량의 대사찰로 거듭남. 국보(國寶)로 무쇠 당간지주 (제395), 부도 (浮屠) (396), 석보상절 (釋譜詳節) (목각판 木刻板) 이 있다

Gapsa Temple: It was established in 420 C.E. by Preceptor Ado, and then renovated for the Flower Garland Mandala in 679 during the reign of King Munmu of the Baekje Dynasty.
