삼론종 (三論宗)에서 일체 번뇌의 실상을 표현하는데 쓰는 말로, 네 짝으로 된 여덟 가지 얻을 수 없는 중도의 이치
1-2) 불생불멸 (不生不滅) (나고 소멸됨이 없으며)
3-4) 불거부래 (不去不來) (오고 감이 없으며)
5-6) 부단불상 (不斷不常) (끊고 항상 함이 없으며)
7-8) 불일불이 (不一不異) (같지도 않고 다르지도 않음.)

The eightfold negation of the Middle Path: This doctrine by Nagarjuna, founder of Madhyamika or the Middle Way School, is one of the important concepts of the Middle Way, the ultimate truth of Buddhism and the ultimate character of all Dharma.
1-2) The non-arising and the non-ceasing, or neither birth nor death.
3-4) The non-appearance and the non-disappearance, or neither coming nor going.
5-6) The non-annihilation and the non-permanence, or neither cessation nor permanence.
7-8) The non-identity and the non-difference, or neither identity nor difference.
