유식사지 (唯識四智) 또는 오지 (五智)의 하나. 평등성지란 마음에 병이 없는 것으로, 일체의 현상은 성품이 없고, 형상이 없으며, 나고 멸함이 없음을 깨달아 만유의 공함을 깨닫는 것. 다시 말해 모든 존재는 실체가 없으므로 평등하며, 서로 다름이 없으며, 따라서 이들을 대상화해서 바라보지도 않고, 어떤 존재도 결코 차별해서 보지 않는 것. 그리고 이것이 곧 동체대비 (同體大悲)라는 모든 중생에 대한 자비심의 근원임을 알아야 한다

The equality wisdom : It releases the mind from all impediments, and enables us to see everything as having non-self-entity, as emptiness, as neither arising nor ceasing, without any discrimination. This is the law of "All is within the One, and the One is within All," which is the fundamental basis of the great compassion arising from the One-common-root, or "One-great-body of compassion 同體大悲."
