Pyeongsangsimsido]
-
The ordinary mind is the Way: This is the subject of the dialogue that took place between Zhaoazhou and Nanquan. The Way, enlightenment, Nirvana, and the Buddha-mind are none other than the everyday mind, or the mind of everyday or ordinary life free of attachment, craving and discrimination.
The Buddha-mind is nothing special. Just leave your thoughts and discriminations behind. When you are hungry, eat. When you are sleepy, go to bed. That is "the everyday mind," the everyday mind of the life of all creatures under the sun or in the universe.
