중생, 곧 유정 (有情)이 미혹과 생사의 삶을 끝없이 계속해 나가는 세 가지 모양 또는 그 세계
1) 혹도 (惑道 )(진리와 현상의 세계에 있어서의 미혹된 마음으로 인한 번뇌)
2) 업도 (業道) (그 번뇌에서 일어나는 신구의 (身口意)의 업 (業)을 짓는 것)
3) 고도 (苦道) (혹･업 (惑･業)을 인 (因)으로 하여 삼계 육도 (三界 六道)의 고과 (苦果)를 말함)

The three modes or realms of endless suffering of sentient beings:
1) Defilement arising from deluded mind.
2) The karmic acts of body, speech, and mind arising from defilement.
3) Suffering of six modes of life in the triple spheres of desire, form, and formlessness caused by a deluded mind and karmic actions.
