Bhava, or existence: Lit. "there is," an antithesis to non-being, "there is not." There is nothing that is more anxious and worrisome than to exist. Hence Nirvana is to be free from all the anxieties of life. There are three different beings or existences:
1) True existence: Every kind of being in the three spheres (being in the realm of desire, being in the realm of non-desire, and being in the formless spiritual realm).
2) Provisional existence: Every being as deceptive, conditioned or phenomenal, not real.
3) Ultimate existence: Every being as neither existent nor non-existent, which is called "the wondrous being of true emptiness." Cf. (Yuwi(beop) All compounded things.
