삼제 (三諦)의 하나. 삼라만상 (森羅萬象)은 모두 자성 (自性)이 없어 어느 한 물건도 실재 (實在)한다고 말할 수 없으나, 만유 (萬有)의 차별상 (差別相)을 그대로 인정함을 뜻함

The relative truth: The deceptive truth of non-self existent reality. As no phenomenon whatsoever has self-existent reality, there is nothing that truly exists. Yet it is also true that things exist even though their deceptive existence is not true or has no absolute existence. Hence the relative truth. Cf. (Samje) The threefold truth of the Tientai Sect.
