금강경
[金剛經, Geumganggyeong]

금강반야바라밀경 (金剛般若波羅密經)의 준말. 선종 (禪宗)의 소의경전 (所依經典)으로, 공 (空)과 혜 (慧)로써 체 (體)를 삼고, 일체법 (一切法)이 무아(無我), 곧 자성 (自性)이 없음을 밝힘. 사구게 (四句偈) 범소유상 개시허망 (凡所有相 皆是虛妄) 참조. 402 년 구라마집 (鳩摩羅什)이 한문으로 번역한 것 외에 다섯 가지 한역본 (漢譯本)이 있으며, 우리나라에선 조선조 제 7 대 선조 8 년 (1580)에 간경도감 (刊經都監)에 의해 한글로 번역됨
The Vajracchedika Prajnaparamita Sutra, or the Diamond Sutra: One of the chief texts of Seon (Ch’an or Zen) Buddhism, which focuses on emptiness and the non-substantiality of things and forms. Cf. "Wheresoever are material characteristics, there is delusion." It was first translated into Chinese in 402 C.E. by Kuramajiva and there now exist five different Chinese versions. It was also translated into Korean in 1580 during the reign of King Seonjo, the 7th King of the Joseon Dynasty.
