Muwijinin]

A genuine sage of no rank or status; or a true man of no title: A true sage beyond the category of saint and common people, or above the stage of Bodhisattva, and even beyond the Buddhahood, the stage that no name can be given just like the great empty space and our original face. There is an interesting story about it in the Record of Linji. When a monk asked the Master what is "the genuine sage of no rank 無位眞人," the Master's reply was "a dry shit stick." It reminds us of "the true sage of non-action 無爲眞人" in the Zhuangzi Book.
