무언무설 (無言無說)로 말이 없다는 뜻. 문수보살과 관자제보살이 불이문 (不二門)에 대해 논할 때, 유마거사 (維摩居士)는 묵언으로 일관 말이 없었다. 그러자 문수보살이 칭찬하여 이는 진실한 불이문 (不二門)이라 하여 이를 묵불이 (黙不二), 유마힐의 일묵 (一黙), 또는 유마묵언 (維摩黙言)이라 부르게 됨
Great silence with no words: When Manjushri Bodhisattva and Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva were engaged in a discussion on the non-duality gate in a great assembly, Vimalakirti kept silence throughout the discussion, whereupon Manjushri praised him highly, saying that his silence was the true non-duality gate. Ever since his silence has been known as non-duality silence, Vimalakirti silence, or One-great silence. "He who knows, speaks not."
