경전을 읽으므로 죄상을 참회하는 법회. 따라서 법화경으로 하는 것을 법화참법, 아미타경으로 하는 것을 아미타 참법이라 함

A mode of confession of one's sins: An assembly of worship for repentance by reading the sutra. If the assembly reads the Lotus Sutra, it is called the Lotus Sutra reading repentance, and if the assembly reads the Amitabha Sutra, it is called Amitabha reading repentance.
